Be HAPPY Now!

It's so cliche but life truly is so short and it just flies by with incredible speed. There are so many wonderful things to see, amazing new things to try and interesting and kind people to meet. There is something to be said about a simple life, appreciating your family, doing what you love to do to earn money and enjoying the time that you are given. Why waste the precious moments of your life unhappy?
Allow the everyday things in your life to bring you joy - and they will. Being happy is a choice. It is true - there are times that are challenging when it is difficult to smile, we all have those. For the majority of the time though, there are things that you can find wonder and joy in and there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.
What is you joy? Where does it lead you? A walk with my children in the neighborhood caused me to meet a great friend, a trip to a yard sale just yesterday brought me to sisters who wanted an artist to paint portraits of their family for Christmas, a casual conversation with someone at the post office turned into some great advice, and on and on.

It's everywhere, sometimes we just don't see it, but joy is in all places. I love the way that little children find joy in simple things. My littlest one thinks that the dogs tail is the funniest thing he's ever seen. He puts his hand out so the dog's tail will hit it and he laughs hysterically.

What if we all thought like silly children sometimes?

What if we made the absolute best out of what we had and appreciated the things that others did for us instead of trying to always get just a little more from them?

There are so many reasons to be grateful, joyful and happy. It so far outweighs the bad - if we allow it to. Remember the people in your life that you love and tell them, recognize the wonder of the things around you. There is beauty in simple things, take the time to notice. I don't know if we are reincarnated or really what happes to us when we are no longer here, but I am going to live like this is my one shot.
