An Objective View

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

I thought that I really liked the way my booth looks when I have it all set up with all of my work on it. There are so many colors and different things to look at. I decided when I went to the show this past weekend that I would take photos and then wait a few days to look at them to see what I really thought about my booth.

Then the kids, Shannon and I went to the Scituate Festival and each booth looked like a mini store, they were all so professional looking. I got a lot of ideas about how I'd like to set up my own booth.

This morning I took a deep breath and peeked at the photos of my booth from last weekend's show. Ugh ...

There are so many things that I need to change before next season. First of all, until you get right into my booth, you can't even tell what I am selling.

I need to find a way to get all of my art to stand up straight and face front. From ten feet away, you can't even see my art.

Now that I've seen some gorgeous booths, I REALLY don't like my booth and the way that it is set up. I have one more out door show this season and then my hubby and I need to get crackin' on building some new way to display the art. My husband is a MASTER at building and designing. There is no excuse for it to look like this.

  1. The items in your booth are amazing! But you are right, you do need to work on how to display them better. I went to a huge craft show a couple of years ago, had been there to shop a couple of times so new how the booth should look to attract people. What about a back drop that you could put along the back of the both that you can hang paintings from. it could be mesh or pegboard. It might be nice to have an easel set up just outside your booth with your best painting.
Good luck with the last show- hope the weather is great for you!

  2. I am amazed at the elaborate setups that I see at shows. I think a vertical display would enhance your booth. Great for you for getting out there and selling.
